FAQ
Questions? Answered.
How much does counseling cost?
First sessions are $140–$160; ongoing sessions $120–$160 depending on length and clinician. The 15-minute consultation is always free, and we provide superbills for out-of-network insurance reimbursement.
Do you take insurance?
We are out-of-network with most plans, which keeps your care private and flexible. Many clients get 50–80% back with superbills — call your insurer and ask about “outpatient mental health, out-of-network benefits.”
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes — secure video sessions across Oregon with the same counselors, same plans, same warmth. Many clients mix in-person and online as life requires.
What happens in the first session?
Mostly listening. We learn your story, agree on goals, and sketch a plan — including how often to meet and how we will know it is working. No tests, no judgment.
How do I know if my counselor is the right fit?
After 2–3 sessions you should feel heard, respected, and clearer on next steps. If not, tell us — we will adjust the approach or match you with another clinician, free of awkwardness.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes, with rare legal exceptions (risk of serious harm, abuse of a minor or vulnerable adult, or a court order). Your counselor will explain these clearly at the start.
